1739 Royal Blossom Gem Ring, Tourmaline Pink, 56 mm
Order No.: MPJ10BL16556
To this day, the "Snowball Blossoms" remain one of the Meissen manufactory´s preeminent decorative motifs. Created in 1739 at the behest of King Augustus III for his wife, Maria Josepha of Austria, the porcelain blossoms have been reinterpreted now, 300 years later, as exquisite jewellery. With their combinations of precious materials, the modern-day MEISSEN jewellery collections continually set new standards. For the "1739 Royal Blossom" collection, the delicate porcelain flowers are paired with exquisite 18 karat rose gold. Every one of the "Snowball Blossoms" is shaped by hand with a gleaming white diamond, also set in rose gold, as the pistil in the centre of each blossom. The pink tourmaline variant couples the snow-white flower with a pink tourmaline resembling a bud for a striking colour contrast.
