MEISSEN - a very special gift. Give a historical figurine with contemporary design as a gift with MEISSEN and the 3.5 cm high single figurine "Frog, duckweeds". Until now, we have known the frog in an enormously realistic and detailed depiction. Now Thomas Lohse has breathed new life into the lovable pond dweller on the single figurine "Frog, duckweeds" with typical elements of water. In addition to large-format masterworks made of Meissen porcelain, such as the wheel-throwing peacock, Kaendler's workshop also produced a large number of small-format animal figurines. Foxes and squirrels, for example, inspired detailed depictions, as did the little frog, which was created in 1742. August the Strong (1670-1733) was a passionate collector.
