3x6 cm, 80 g
August the Strong (1670-1733) was a passionate collector. He was just as fond of animals as he was of luxurious porcelain. In addition to large-format masterpieces of Meissen porcelain, such as the "Wheel-throwing Peacock", Kaendler's workshop also produced a large number of small-format animal figurines. The fox or the squirrel were just as much an inspiration for detailed depictions as the little frog. The 6.5 cm high single figurine "Frog" by Johann Joachim Kaendler, in its original form from 1742, has an enormously realistic and detailed representation due to the lifelike on-glaze painting. Give the gift of unique craftsmanship with tradition with the single figurine "Frog" made of Meissen porcelain.
