Hentschel Children Girl with Doll

Order No.: 900100-73375-1
16x8 cm, 570 g
The "Girl with Doll" is one of the Hentschel Children of the Meissen sculptor Julius Konrad Hentschel, one of the most important artists of the Meissen Art Nouveau. Between 1904 and 1907, he created the popular collector's items, which represent a turning point in Meissen small sculptures at the beginning of the 20th century. The expression, style and subject of the everyday depictions of children were a novelty at that time. The "Girl with Doll" also enchants with its impressive liveliness and lovable aura. In a dress made of radiant white Meissen porcelain, her rosy cheeks and blue eyes are particularly striking and give her an emotional intensity that makes the viewer feel the girl's childlike innocent traits. A very special gift for Christmas.
