Meissen porcelain eggs are inspired by traditional Easter decorations. Moulded from the manufactory's porcelain, each egg is then painted by hand. The rounded shape and characteristic radiant white lustre offer the manufactory's porcelain painters a flawless, broad - albeit small-scale - surface on which to bring their miniature paintings to life. Applied en détail with delicate brushstrokes, the porcelain painters are able to capture a blackberry branch in all of its natural glory. Meissen's Easter egg collection features a wealth of designs that can be combined in a variety of ways, offering celebratory accents to spring bouquets and floral arrangements.
