Meissen porcelain eggs are inspired by traditional Easter decorations. Moulded from the manufactory's porcelain, each egg is then painted by hand. The rounded shape and characteristic radiant white lustre offer the manufactory's porcelain painters a flawless, broad - albeit small-scale - surface on which to bring their miniature paintings to life. Applied en détail with delicate brushstrokes, the contemporary "Wild Poppy" design captures the fiery red tones of summer meadows in a delicate composition that was inspired by the free-flowing forms of floral aquarelle paintings. Meissen's Easter egg collection features a wealth of designs that can be combined in a variety of ways, offering celebratory accents to spring bouquets and floral arrangements.
