The hand-painted decorated artwork "Egyptian Views" is dedicated to the discovery of the Rosetta Stone. Its discovery in 1799 and subsequent decipherment in 1822 contributed significantly to the translation of hieroglyphics. The delicate inkwell is supported by three sarcophagi, which with their hand-painted accentuated gold decoration recall the ancient splendor of Egyptian pharaohs. The inkwell is adorned with shimmering hieroglyphics. Icons of porcelain history as well as rarities from the archives revive in the collection of limited reissued masterpieces 2013. Like this limited edition work of art, which impressively hand-painted presents the beauty of the mysterious Egyptian world on the finest Meissen porcelain. While the lower half is covered in gold, the upper half features a beautifully detailed work of art: the scene of a caravan passing by a sphinx. In its design scope, the limited edition and hand-painted inkwell represents unrivaled craftsmanship, reflecting the high standards of the manufactory.
