The figurine "Maestoso" is one of the famous horse figurines of Erich Oehme, one of the most significant sculptors of the 20th century. Known for his lively animal sculptures, between 1935 and 1952, he devoted himself in particular to horse figurines. Images have always been stars of breeding and dressage scene. A Lipizzaner was model for the expressive figurine "Maestoso". The horse's temperament is reproduced in its movement, which is a challenge for the sculpturers. Shaping slim legs and muscular body is a balancing act and requires a lot of experience. The moving figurine is a true masterpiece of the Meissen porcelain manufactory.
